Oophaga pumilio 'El Dorado'
The El Dorado pumilio has been rather recently O. pumilio introduced into the US hobby. This is a larger morph of pumilio coming from Panama - the exact location is kept secret to prevent smugglers from exploiting them. We have seen a fair amount of variability in this morph with some animals showing a spectacular bright red, orange, or yellow coloration. Early indications look like the El Dorado is a strong breeder and some very sizable offspring clutches have been reported with up to 7 froglets produced at a time!
The photos posted are of the actual animals for sale. D. pumilio are very territorial, and will do best in pairs. D. pumilio are very bold with one of the loudest calls.
