Previously thought to be it's own species, the azurues has now been proven to be a morph of the tinctorius species. This species inhabits a very small and isolated range in the extreme south of Suriname. azureus also makes an excellent beginner frog. Typically ground dwellers, azureus will enjoy a horizontal tank with plenty of floor space to explore. Regarded as a bold frog. Best kept in pairs
