This morph of D. auratus originates from Panama and is another small morph with adult size just over an inch.  The Capira auratus is one of our favorites.  It's black body with green dashes and dots is like no other.   D. auratus also makes an excellent starter frog. D. auratus has gotten a reputation for being shy in the vivarium; however, in our experience they can be bold frogs if given plenty of hiding locations.
